Wild Authentic Xplore (W.A.X.) Presents: Relationship Boundaries, and the Strategy That Makes Them Work

Healthy boundaries lie at the heart of healthy relationships. Join Eva Papp, founder of the Active Authenticity path to wellbeing, for a one day workshop where you’ll learn how to activate key relationship boundaries with ONE STRATEGY, while infusing your work/social/intimate relationships with more fun/ease/satisfaction/etc.

The Workshop Day:

We start outdoors, in the grove, with a short qigong session to get us present and in tune with our direct experience. We then head indoors for the day’s workshop, which will be conducted over two, 3-hour sessions with a 1.5 hour lunch break in between. The day ends at 4:30 pm.

The Morning Session: We consider your boundary-making abilities: for instance, can you say No and hold to your No when you need to? And when appropriate, can you flex your No to advance your interests without sacrificing what you need? How about your Yes? Can you exercise a Yes-boundary - did you even know Yes is a boundary? - and who does your Yes typically serve anyway? And at the end of the day, can you execute a Yes/No strategy to protect what you need while cultivating the goodwill in which relationships thrive? These are some of the questions and related concepts and skills we’ll be exploring in the morning session.

The Afternoon Session: We take another look at goodwill and the generosity that makes it possible. And we ask the question, who typically benefits from the generosity you offer, is it mostly them or is it mostly you? We then explore an attribute you’d like to experience more of in your relationship, e.g., fun/ease/satisfaction/etc. by working with that particular attribute for the rest of the afternoon. You’ll learn how to build hierarchies with your attribute, and finally, learn how to integrate your hierarchy with the previous Yes/No strategy to not only protect your wellbeing, but at the same time cultivate relationship goodwill WHILE infusing your relationship with more of what you desire.

The Details:

Workshop: This is a workshop where we dig in and do the work. While we’ll have a big, light-filled space to work in, class size is limited to 20 participants so we have the time we need to make the material personally relevant.

Where: The Open Space Arts and Community venue on Vashon Island. In addition to our indoor classroom, we have private access to an outdoor grove for our morning qigong work. We start our day by meeting in the grove at 8:30 am - which is to the right of the building complex, and straight back into the grove area.

When: Sunday, March 30, 2025, 8:30-4:30 pm. 1.5 hour lunch break. Picnic tables available in the grove, or enjoy one of the many in-town, and delicious island eateries.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable and appropriate clothing for outdoor, morning qigong. Bring your water bottle, and notebook and pen for notetaking and written exercises. Morning tea, coffee will be provided.

What NOT to Miss: The Ferry. Schedule can be found here.

Registration: Fee for the day is $250, but is adjustable according to need, and according to the following sliding scale.

So excited to workshop a Wild Authentic Xplore experience with all of you. Now more than ever!
